Terms of Service

Nick’s Express Terms of Service

The following contract below is between you (“Sender/receiver”) & us (“The

Carrier”). You must agree to the conditions below prior to proceeding with

your booking and choosing to use our service.

All Prices on our website are based on the below dimensions for a car or

small commercial, SUV or 4WD. Vehicles outside these dimensions can still be

transported, which will incur an extra fee.

Car/Commercial/SUV/4WD

  1. a) Length – 5.4m or under
  2. b) Width – 2M or under
  3. c) Height – 1.9M or under
  4. d) Ground clearance – Minimum 150mm
  5. e} Market Value – up to $200,000

Payment Policy

Full payment is required to secure your booking. We accept card & EFT

Payments.

➢ Vehicles must be paid in full and cannot be collected or delivered under any

circumstance until full payment for the order/quoted price is received and has

cleared

Cancellation Policy

Cancelled bookings incur a cancellation fee.

Bookings that are canceled prior to drop off at our depot or prior to

collection for door pick-ups incur a 25% cancellation fee of the total costccof the booking.

Bookings that are canceled once the vehicle has been collected for doorccpick-ups or dropped off at the drop off depot are non-refundable.

Vehicles that are loaded on a truck cannot be canceled or refunded.

Additional Charges

Prices on our website are depot to depot. Extra fees apply for pick-ups, deliveries and goods inside the vehicle.

Pickups & deliveries: Additional charges apply for pickup and delivery to and from your nominated addresses. These prices vary depending on how far a location is from our depot.

Vehicles that exceed $200,000 market value will incur an extra fee.

Damages during transit

It is recommended that the customer (Sender/reciever) has their own  vehicle insurance policy up to date at the time of the booking. The customer (Sender/Reciever) can choose to add on transit insurance at the time of the booking for an additional fee with Nick’s Express Car Transport. If the customer doesn’t add on transit insurance the vehicle will not be insured and

Nick’s Express will not be liable for any damage claim or total loss during transit. If a customer does select to add on transit insurance with Nick’s

Express they will be insured up to the market value of $200,000 per vehicle for

any damages during loading and unloading or if a total loss incident occurs during transit. This means that while your vehicle is onboard one of our trucks and in transit, it is insured for any total loss or theft or any damage during loading and unloading. As we are an open car carrier, stone chips and any minor markings/scratches that are not visible from 2 meters standing back are not part of the transit insurance policy. Photos and/or a consignement docket can be used as evidence to point out any pre-existing damage and assist a damage claim investigation.

We are also not insured for any non-running or salvage cars as well as any loose parts on the vehicle during transit. We also don’t take any responsibility or liability for any damage to the undercarriage of the vehicle. We are not responsible or liable for any mechanical issues or breakdowns that occur to your vehicle during transit.

Damage claims must be highlighted and lodged with our depot staff when collecting or receiving your vehicle. We do not accept any claims for damages that are highlighted after the vehicle has been collected and left our depot premises or received at the delivery location.

The customer also agrees to the below terms regarding any damage claim or total loss claim lodged while the vehicle is in transit – Nick’s Express Car Transport will not be liable under any circumstance for

any cost relating to a damage claim if the customer doesn’t agree to the above terms and has chosen not to add on transit insurance at the time of the booking

Dangerous goods & flammable items

Dangerous goods and flammable items are strictly prohibited and must not be placed inside the vehicle.

Goods/personal belongings policy

You can have up to 100kg inside your vehicle during transport.

Goods can only be stored in the boot and backseat. The driver’s seat must have a full range of motion and not be obstructed by any goods.

Goods that are packed inside cannot exceed the bottom of the window due to safety reasons

We are not insured or liable for any damages or theft to goods inside the vehicle and Nick’s Express can refuse any suspected dangerous goods or items that are packed incorrectly.

WA Border Requirements

Goods imported into Western Australia must comply with import requirements under Biosecurity and Agriculture. Management Act 2007. Any quarantine related costs imposed by WA quarantine officials are payable by the customer (Sender/reciever)

Transit Times

Our transit times are based on business days and although the majority of our bookings arrive in the specified transit times, factors outside of our control can cause delays to our service. This includes, but is not limited to examples such as driver illness/fatigue, breakdowns or poor weather conditions.

Therefore, we advise not planning any special events or holidays around our transit times. Consider transit times estimates only.
